Peyote with a Twist

This tutorial is a request from one of our Seed Bead Saturday viewers! Here is a quick how-to on peyote with a twist. This version of peyote rope is the most flexible of the styles. Created by Geraldine Lenz, Peyote with a Twist is a unique spin on peyote stitch that starts with a flat piece that is then connected diagonally and worked in the round with a little turn as you bump the edge.

I have created this cute necklace on SilverSilk Pipe Chain using the technique! In my step-by-step video, I walk you through creating the necklace. Many other SilverSilk chains will work well as a base, including Knitted Leather Chain, Capture Chain, and Pearlesque Chain.
